Thursday, April 6th, day off throughout the national territoryKinshasa, April 4th, 2023 (CPA) –Thursday April 06 will be a day off and paid throughout the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), according to a press release issued by the Ministry of Employment, Labour and Social Welfare on Tuesday to the CPA.
« The day of Thursday, April 6th, 2023, dedicated to the struggle of Simon Kimbangu and to African consciousness, is non-working and paid throughout the national territory, » said the statement signed by the Minister of Labour, Claudine Ndusi, and read on the national radio and television.
For the minister, this decision which concerns the Congolese in general, as well as employers and workers in particular, is taken « in execution of Ordinance No. 23/042 of 30 March 2023 fixing the list of legal holidays in the DRC.
