Lualaba: demolition of anarchic constructions on the Kazembe road in KolweziKolwezi, March 29th, 2023 (CPA).-The general commissioner in charge of land affairs in Lualaba, Jean-Pierre Kalenga, launched on Monday the demolition operation of anarchic constructions erected along the Kazembe road in Kolwezi, chief town of the Lualaba province in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
« The objective of this operation is to enlarge by 4 m on two sides the said road housing the Lualaba governorate in order to make the traffic flow smoothly and to build a pedestrian passage, » the CPA learnt on Tuesday from the local commissioner of land affairs. On the other hand, the inhabitants of Kazembe road denounced the irregularity of this operation and opposed it, to the point of momentarily preventing the normal course of this operation.
