Humanitarian situation: the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) on mission in IturiBunia, May 3rd, 2023(CPA)-. A delegation of the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in the DRC is currently in Bunia, capital of Ituri in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where it exchanged views on Tuesday with the provincial authority on the humanitarian situation in this province.
« The exchange with the military governor was very rich, focusing on the worrying humanitarian situation in Ituri, a situation of violence. This situation calls on all humanitarians to do even better, and we are there to provide humanitarian assistance », said the Deputy Director of the Operations and Advocacy Division, Ms Sophie Garde Thomle.
