Bandundu: a death row inmate transferred to KinshasaBandundu, May 3rd, 2023(CPA)-. A criminal subject from Bandundu in Kwilu in the Democratic Republic of Congo, sentenced to death by the High Court of Kwilu, was transferred on Tuesday to Ndolo prison in Kinshasa, to continue his sentence.
The provincial governor, Willy Itshundala Asang, said at the foot of the plane at Basoko/Bandundu airport that « security is one of the major pillars of the five-year term of the head of state who wants the population to live in peace. Following the record breaking ‘kuluna’ phenomenon in Bandundu,
Mr Tamuzi, alias Serpent, murdered a 12-year-old pupil at point-blank range, and this is not his first crime; he must face the rigour of the law. « The justice system, which has sentenced him to life imprisonment, has moved him from Bandundu to serve his sentence elsewhere in order to teach others not to commit the same acts, » he added.
